Grant Strategy Consulting
More than ever, nonprofits need equity-focused and strategic approaches to advocate for their communities. I work one-on-one with nonprofit leaders to review current grantseeking methods, identify and remove pain points, locate values-aligned funders and major donors, and develop new grant strategies. I also have experience interfacing with organizational strategic planning processes, third-party evaluations, and equity initiatives.
Grant Writing and Research
Nonprofits that work with me benefit from my decade of sector-wide experience, my skill in drafting proposals that are both technically proficient and enjoyable to read, and my supportive and collaborative approach. I offer both long-term fractional grant writing and short-term engagements for specific proposals.
Grant Capacity Building
The benefits of working with a professional grant writer shouldn’t be restricted to organizations that are already well resourced. For community-based organizations with operating budgets under $500,000, I offer low-cost, flat-rate deliverables such as research-backed case statements, comprehensive grant research reports, and a standard proposal that can be tailored to funders.
About Me
Since 2017, I have worked with dozens of nonprofit organizations, from nationally recognized institutions to grassroots startups, to expand grant portfolios, improve fundraising processes, and build organizational capacity. My work is broad-based and spans multiple sectors, which has given me a nuanced understanding of the commonalities and shared intersections of these goals.
The most rewarding part is knowing that people throughout California and the U.S. have benefited as a result of our collaborations.
When I’m not writing, I’m writing. I’m also a published fiction author with an MFA, a Lambda Literary Awards finalist ranking, and a handful of publications.
